Peter Rabbit's Party Book
Published in Paperback by Frederick Warne & Co (March, 1998)
Average review score:

This book is a parents wish come true!!The book had everything you could possibly need to throw your young child the most memorable birthday bash. The colorful illustrations and handy tips were a life saver. When my baby was born, I took time in choosing just the right theme, Peter Rabbit. Unfortunately, he's not as popular as other cartoon characters. This book had everything I was looking for any so much more.

Peter Rabbit's: Little Guide to Life

Everyone Should Read This Book! This little guidebook should be required reading for all of us! With humor and tongue-in-cheek advice for everyday situations in our lives, you'll be charmed and entertained as you read. What a great little book to add to a newborn's library, or slip in a Christmas stocking ~ the messages are clear, based on common sense, and can be applied to any age group. "Prudent people plan for the future, like Timmy Tiptoes and his wife. Though you may not need a hoard of acorns, it is highly sensible to place your money in a bank. A savings account will allow you to cope with sudden expenses and to treat yourself on a rainy day." "The importance of saying 'please' before you take something cannot be stressed enough. Pushing and grabbing is impertinent behaviour, inexcusable even in a rabbit. Similarly, when someone gives you a present or performs a favour, always remember to say 'thank you.' These short little words speak volumes." If you love Beatrix Potter, or Peter Rabbit strikes a memory cord, you'll enjoy this wonderful book and want to share it with others. It gets five stars from this reader!

Great for reading and chewing! One of our baby's favorite books and toys. This is the one book your baby can chew without damaging the book. My husband is a high school teacher who thinks this is also an excellent pedagogical model for english classes -- how to summarize a book into 16 words.

An inspiring & uplifting readAlice Potter takes you through each of her self-help commandments with inspiring quotes, personal stories, humor and positive energy. She lets the reader see that they are capable of anything and that the power for greatness really lies within themselves. She gives great examples of people who have conquered their fears and are working to be the best that they can be. A great read.

Was "Book-Reading-Addicted"& hooked in "Swallowing Chapters"I'm German and reading in English takes me somewhat moretime, but with this book I nearly couldn't make a break in reading and during 5 days I spent every night to read some chapters ... until I was "through". This book makes me so curious, makes me thinking so much about the events, whether it's true, whether it's fiction. It made me both: laughing and very often sad. The book gives answers to questions which I never would dare to pose to a disabled person. And the book shows me again, how easy and good live has been to me and how admirable brave others are handling complicated situations - situations that we none disabled even can't imagine. Reading this book I learned/remembered something very important again: "I'll be a (wo)man if I can" more often in future.
Kind regards, and thanks a lot for publishing the "Potter Junction" Gisela Eichinger-Bilke Woehlerstr. 10 D-94060 Pocking / Germany Eichinger-Bilke@T-Online.de

The Potter's Guide to Handbuilding
Published in Paperback by Lorenz Books (September, 1900)
Average review score:

Excellent, big bang for your buckIt's so tiny and yet has everything: great projects with excellent pictures, such creative ideas...and gallery photos of similiar projects from other artists for inspiration. But there is also handy tips in the sidebars concerning each project or just general useful information about using a certain technique. There is even general info on wedging, safety, firing temps, etc. A great beginner eye-opener but also inspiring for the advanced. I'm a pottery teacher and I found this tiny book a refreshing breather from the wheel.

The Potter's Guide to Throwing: Practical Handbook (Practical Handbook)
Published in Paperback by Lorenz Books (November, 2001)
Average review score:

Excellent ValueAs a new potter, I don't really know what I need to know but this book, ... seems to be loaded with clear, concise information. The pictures especially are very detailed, even including some cutaway views to give another perspective on how it's done. I'm looking forward to trying several of the projects detailed in the book. At least than half the price of other highly-rated books, this one is worth a look.

The Potter's Odyssey
Published in Paperback by Sunstone Press (August, 1995)
Average review score:

An American Bernard Leach looks at earth and fire.Willard Spence presents the technical side of ceramics as poetry. He is forthright (sp?) and non-intimidating in his presentation of the nature of clay, pottery, and man's perceptions and use of both. There are general statements about the nature of clay, but the refinements include specifics, down to glaze test methodology and glaze formulae. I bought this book as a present to my wife's lover, but so valued it's insight that I bought another copy for myself

The Potter's Primer

Great for the BASICS!I teach an evening college class and this book has been an excellent resource. It poses - step by step - exactly what to do and how to do it. The photography is superb - allowing students to derive their own ideas from what they see. For the beginner, I couldn't recommend it more. Excellent addition to any art lovers book collection.
